State Budget Updates - Milwaukee Budget Hearing is April 10th

Wisconsin State Budget Updates

The state budget process is moving forward. We encourage you to take an active role and share your budget priorities with your legislators and with the Joint Finance Committee. The Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force will be sharing our budget priorities and talking points as a resource for your budget advocacy.

Here are some updates for you to be aware of:

  • The Legislative Fiscal Bureau has released their analysis of the Governor budget proposal. You can read their budget papers here.
  • The Joint Committee on Finance has announced their schedule for hearings on the budget. There will be 4 hearings around the state, including an April 10th hearing in Milwaukee County, The attached document provides you with contact information for Joint Finance Committee members. See details below regarding the Milwaukee session. If you cannot attend, you may emails your comments at the address below.
