Bake Sale” for Transit

WISPIRG and UEDA invite you to join us at the southeastern Wisconsin “Bake Sale” for Transit!

Help us send the message that it’s time for transit to stop getting stuck with the crumbs!

On Friday, August 7, local organizations and members of the community will assemble to advocate for increased funding for transit, and to urge our Congressional delegation to fight for transportation reform in the upcoming 6-year federal transportation bill.

Let’s show Congress that it will take more than cookies and muffins to stop the cycle of fare increases, service cuts, and backlogged maintenance. With the next 6-year transportation bill starting to be debated, now is the time for our Congressional delegation to take action for transportation reform.

Join us in support of affordable and reliable transit service!

All baked goods and media coordination will be provided by WISPIRG students.

Show that your organization is “on-board” for transit. E-mail Bruce Speight to add your organization to our list of supporters at
bspeight @ wispirg.org by Tuesday, August 4.

As a co-sponsor, you’ll be listed in all promotional materials for the event and help to send a loud and powerful message to our representatives!
