We see the Ecological Transition eBook series as accelerating the adoption of local sustainable agriculture and related skills. By documenting interviews with experts and visionaries in the field, associated projects, and the experiences of the project participants, the eBook serves as both an archiving and outreach tool. It also can serve as a “how to” for those contemplating similar projects and as a potential revenue stream for the projects involved.

Leverage the growing number of eBook readers and tablets that allow rich multimedia

Our capabilities allow us to produce rich multimedia eBooks for our clients, either turnkey or via consulting others who want to generate an eBook in this topic area. The eBooks can include:

  • Video with alternate language subtitles

  • Audio synchronized with highlighted text

  • Still images

  • Interactive charts

  • 3D models that can be manipulated

  • Quizzes

  • Links to related media and information.

This type of eBook provides an engaging way for users to access content, by quickly navigating to the topics of interest, taking notes, looking up definitions, searching internal and external to the book, playing media, interacting with models and graphs, etc.

Unmatched Experience

We have supported client events since the early ‘90s, concentrating on delivering the knowledge presented at these events. The events were held by leading knowledge-based organizations to include The World Trade Institute, The Bookings Institution, The World Bank, The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, The National Endowment for Democracy (NED), The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), The National Governors Association, the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), The Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP), and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

We have captured and processed media from hundreds of events, with speakers ranging from policy experts and policy makers worldwide to the President of the United States. This experience has given us an in-depth understanding of how media can be presented in an interactive and enjoyable way to transfer knowledge. The eBook format allows us to leverage that understanding.
