Heart Haus

The Heart Haus<http://www.facebook.com/ourhearthaus> seems to have become a node/hub and vortex for all things centering around urban agriculture, holistic living and ecopreneurship/micro enterprising. Staying hear would definitely allow you to be at the center of the amazing things unfolding in our city. (Just ask Nick Rose & Alex Pacheco)

There is an energy of cooperation, collaboration and the most unique attribute is the house’s ability to release the potential of the individuals that set foot through the door. It’s a place built with and led by Love. So I’m confident that you will feel at home here as well as meet some very amazing people.

That being said, the going rate for our guest room is $50 per night, and what I would recommend doing is to stay with us for your first few days and we can help to direct you to the people you should meet and projects to visit. If you enjoy staying with us you are more than welcome to extend your stay via our AirBNB listing (building our website this weekend), or if you find something else that is more fitting we can help you get settled there. Either way we are here to help.

Please let me know if you are working with a more conservative budget, and if you decide to stay the whole month we could work out a discounted rate.

Here are a few of the Heart Haus Attributes & Amenities that you are welcome to utilize:

- Washer & Dryer
- (2) Vegetable Gardens
- Basement Makers Space & Work Shop
- Video Conferencing Room
- Brainstorm Room with White Boards
- Full Kitchen
- Garage Worm & Composting Operation
- Ridiculously fast WiFi

We are located in a very special part of Milwaukee known as Bayview<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay_View,_Milwaukee>, which I like to call “The Brooklyn of Milwaukee”. There are amazing shops, restaurants and events always going on. We are 10 min from the airport and a 15min Greenline<http://ridemcts.com/Routes-Schedules/Routes/GreenLine/#Weekday> bus ride from downtown Milwaukee and the lakefront. One block from Humboldt Park & Beer garden<http://county.milwaukee.gov/ImageLibrary/Groups/cntyParks/maps/Humboldt.pdf>.

Whether or not you decide to stay at the Heart Haus, we are more than welcome to help you connect to the city in any way we can. I am including the email address of Nick Rose PHD Churchill Fellow from Australia & Alex Pacheco PHD from Earth University of Costa Rica whom both stayed with us. Feel free to email them, which I recommend as they are a great resource for their insights on their Urban Ag experience in Milwaukee & stay at the Heart Haus.

Let me know your thoughts and let’s continue the dialog.

Look forward to meeting you, talk soon!
