Mothers of Crime Victims in Twin Cities

Hello Jackie,

Please forward this communication to Ramsey County Commissioner Tony Carter. Thank you!

Hello Commissioner Carter,

In October 2007 you attended a Peace Power and Unity conference hosted by the MOVE Leadership Council of Family & Children’s Service. At this conference you pledged Ramsey County a safe haven for immigrants. On behalf of the MOVE Leadership Council I sincerely thank you for your support and your sensitivity to our immigrant population.

Please see letter below I sent to mothers who lost children to gun violence.
(Read Below)

On behalf of Mothers of Crime Victims we would that the state of Minnesota be declared a safe haven for immigrants. To concentrate immigrant population in Ramsey and Hennepin counties would greatly intensify the housing crisis for current residents including 22 out of 30 mothers who lost children to gun violence and face eviction/foreclosure on their homes.

The state of Minnesota is a beautiful place to call home and immigrants are very much welcomed. We need more county commissioners to be as warm and inviting as you have been. Mothers of Crime Victims would appreciate your efforts to encourage other county commissioners to open their arms and their hearts to accommodate our immigrant population.

Thank you so much for what you have already done. Thank you in advance for what you will do for immigrants and for current residents.
