A New Beginning

I am glad to become a contributor to this fine endeavor. A long-time supporter of the Milwaukee Renaissance, I look forward to joining the other esteemed individuals involved in this project in talking about Milwaukee’s cultural and social revolution.

My current projects include:

• The Metro Milwaukee Young Playwrights Competition, a first-of-its-kind theatrical competition for high school students in the community.
• Promoting social change through theatre, by way of alerting well-minded citizens to such masterpieces as First Stage Children’s Theater’s Smoldering Fires.
• Discussing and writing on topics such as education, socialized healthcare, equality among economic and racial classes, and other progressive topics.
• Furthering progressive ideals through membership in organizations such as Pius’ CREOLE (Social Activism Theatre), the Junior State of America, and an academic class entitled Literature of Rebellion and Social Change.
