11/2 - County Board Public Hearing on Budget at the Domes

Mental Health Task Force/ Make It Work Milwaukee Update

Monday, November 2nd is the Milwaukee County Board’s public hearing on the 2016 proposed budget and an important opportunity to share your priorities for the Milwaukee County budget.

Some of the budget priorities identified by the Mental Health Task Force and Make It Work Milwaukee include funding for transit and paratransit, support for the Go Pass, funding for the housing division including the initiative to end chronic homeless, and support for the Finance Committee amendment to restore $300,000 in funding to the shelter system which serves so many people with mental health needs. Turn out Monday to share your priorities with the Board.

If you want to speak, arrive early to register. Speakers are generally limited to 2 – 3 minutes. You may also submit written copies of your testimony. Here is a link to contact information for Milwaukee County supervisors: http://county.milwaukee.gov/CountyBoard
