Mental Health Task Force/ Make It Work Milwaukee Update

The Milwaukee County budget funds many important services for people with disabilities and older adults. We encourage you to get involved in the budget process, learn about proposed department budget, and share your budget priorities. Here are some opportunities to get involved:

  • County Executive Abele is hosting several Community Input Sessions on the 2018 County Budget in August. Scroll down to the email below for details, and register to attend.

  • Attend our August 8th briefing on 2018 Milwaukee County Department Budget Requests. The briefing is Tuesday, August 8, at 3 PM at IndependenceFirst, 540 S. 1st street, and is hosted by Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force and Make It Work Milwaukee Coalition. Please join us to learn about department budget requests for transit, Sheriff, House of Correction, Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health Division, and Aging. This background will help prepare you with background information to share your priorities at the Input sessions. Note: Parking is tight! Arrive early and leave time to find a place on the street if the lot is full.
