BOALTC Adds Ombudsman for IRIS Participants 60 and over

As approved in the state of Wisconsin biennial budget, the State of Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long-Term Care (BOALTC) Long Term Care Ombudsman program has been expanded to provide advocacy for individuals 60 and over enrolled in IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct).

  • The IRIS Ombudsman for participants age 60 and above, the State of Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long-Term Care (BOALTC), is officially in place and able to take calls.

  • The phone number for the age 60 and above Ombudsman is 1–800–815–0015.

As a reminder, Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW) serves as the ombudsman for participants age 18–59 for IRIS, as well as Family Care and Family Care Partnership.
