Board president, superintendent, mayor, county executive, police chief to join community leader Earl Ingram Monday for forum about positive summer options for youth

MILWAUKEE (June 21, 2013) - Community leader Earl Ingram will host and moderate a forum Monday featuring Milwaukee Board of School Directors President Michael Bonds, Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent Gregory Thornton, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn to discuss positive summer options for youth. The forum is an opportunity for community members to learn about the programs, ask questions and help plan for a safe summer for all Milwaukeeans.

Milwaukee Recreation programs are expected to serve more than 50,000 participants this summer - and 52 MPS Community Learning Centers, Safe Places and Summer Enrichment Camps expected to serve about 7,800 young people.
