Community Forum on Community-Based Treatment Approaches of Schizophrenia

September is Recovery month and in honor of this, the WPA will be hosting its second forum in the Community Solutions Series.

On Wednesday, September 24th at the Wauwatosa Library’s Firefly Room- the WPA will be hosting a public education event on emerging models of community-based treatment of schizophrenia. The WPA’s own Dr. Greg Jurenec will present on treatment models with demonstrated effectiveness that are first making their way to the United States. Dr. Jurenec will provide a hands on discussion regarding a shift in focus away from medication and towards supporting individuals’ improved functioning in the community.

Please SAVE THE DATE and help us get the word out to the broader community! Please share with fellow professionals, consumer groups, students, educators, religious groups, community organizations, and most of all the common population to ensure a big turnout and to assist in disseminating this important and exciting information.
