Mental Health Task Force/Make It Work Milwaukee Update

The Senate and Assembly hearing on the Milwaukee County Mental Health Board bill (AB 718/ SB 565) has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at noon in Madison.

There is also the option to testify via Skype at the Tommy Thomason Center in Milwaukee or you may email your comments to committee members. See details below and attached. I have also attached information about the bill from the Milwaukee Mental Halth Task Force, and a list of committee members. This will be a Joint Public Hearing with the Assembly Committee on Health and will commence upon the conclusion of the executive session for the Assembly Committee on Healthscheduled to begin at 11:02 a.m.

Senate Bill 565
Relating to: Milwaukee County mental health functions, programs, and services, creation of the Milwaukee County Mental Health Board, and making an appropriation.

By Senator Vukmir; cosponsored by Representative Sanfelippo.

The Joint Hearing will also include the Assembly companion, AB 718. In addition, accommodations have been made available for those individuals unable to travel to the State Capitol, to provide testimony to the Joint Committee via Skype, at the Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center, meeting room #4, located within State Fair Park 640 S. 84th Street, West Allis, WI 53214.
