Free Upcoming Advocacy Training in Pewaukee

NAMI Smarts for Advocacy

Never thought of yourself as an advocate?
Want to make a positive change in mental health services?
Want to learn how to best communicate concerning mental health issues to local, state and national politicians and leaders who determine legislation and financial decisions?

Grassroots advocacy is simple; you don’t have to know about policies or politics. It’s about using your voice to influence policy makers and make a difference. Turn your passion and your lived experience into a positive voice for mental health with the NAMI Smarts for Advocacy grassroots advocacy training.

Make a difference. Advocate. Make your voice heard. NAMI Smarts for Advocacy
will enhance your advocacy skills and help you shape a powerful and personal story that will move policymakers.

The NAMI Smarts Difference
NAMI Smarts for Advocacy engages you in hands-on learning to build and strengthen skills.
Whether you are new to advocacy or have years of experience you will leave the training with messages, step-by-step tools and the practice you need to feel informed, confident and ready to make a difference. NAMI Smarts for Advocacy is taught in a day-long training. NAMI WI will be hosting a training March 3 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm in Pewaukee, WI at the Country Springs Hotel. This is a free training (lunch included) and we encourage you to send NAMI members and those who you believe would be interested in learning how to advocate for Mental Health.

Please sign up and lets be SMART about making a difference. All NAMI Wisconsin members are encouraged to apply. If you’re not already a NAMI member, no worries. We’d be happy to connect you with your local affiliate and though it’s not required we will have membership forms available at the training if you choose to join.
