Join us for the second session of our 2018 EMERGING TOPICS SERIES!
Wednesday, June 27 | 10:30am to 2:00pm
Sojourner Family Peace Center (MAP)
In collaboration with the National Disability Institute and the Milwaukee Alliance for Economic Inclusion, we are excited to invite you to the second session in our 2018 Emerging Topic Series.
This session will serve as a follow-up to our 2017 Community Development Summit that focused on financial and social inclusion for people with disabilities, this time focusing on strategies that strengthen the networks of those serving people with disabilities.
A panel of local, statewide and national agencies will discuss how practitioners can ensure that people with disabilities have access to mainstream financial services by highlighting existing loan and support service programs. Following, Erin Waddell of the Louisville Office of Financial Empowerment will share first-hand insights on how to build greater resilience and self-sufficiency for individuals with disabilities and their families. The day will end with an interactive discussion focused on the needs and opportunities to increase the financial empowerment and resilience of people with disabilities.
This event is sponsored by the Milwaukee Alliance for Economic Inclusion.
There is no cost to attend and lunch will be provided.
