July 11th meeting - Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force

Please join us for the July 11th meeting of the Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force. The meeting will include new information about the rollout of Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) to Milwaukee youth – this is a great opportunity to connect more children and teens to services and supports. Please join us to learn more!

Meeting Details: Tuesday July 11, 3 – 5 PM: IndependenceFirst, 540 S. 1st st.

Our agenda will include the following:

  • Something to Think About, Dr. Patricia McManus

  • Presentation on rollout of CCS to Milwaukee youth and central intake number for youth programs, Mary Jo Meyers, Director of Children and Youth services and Wraparound Milwaukee, BHD; Brian’McBride Administrative Manager for Children and Youth Services, BHD.

  • Disability Rights Wisconsin’s Project EASSY: Outreach project to increase access to county administered services for African American youth with disabilities or special needs, and their families, Barbara Beckert, DRW

  • Save the Date for our September 12th forum: Building Bridges Towards Authentic Inclusion, update from Terri Ellis, Diversity Committee Chair

  • 2017 Karen Avery Award Nominations Now Open – due August 4

  • Policy updates: BHD 2018 Budget/ Mental Health Board update, County budget, State budget, update on ACA repeal/ health care reform legislation
