MAPP bill introduced

Mental Health Task Force/ Make It Work Milwaukee Update

In the past, we have discussed opportunities to improve the MAPP program – Medical Assistance Purchase Plan. After working with disability advocates for some time, Rep. Jacque has introduced a proposal the makes a number of changes supported by advocates to the Medical Assistance purchase plan (MAPP) and requires the Department of Health Services (DHS) to exclude certain types of assets when determining eligibility and cost-sharing requirements for certain Medical Assistance (MA) and long-term care programs. The bill number is AB 414 and you can click on the link below to see the proposal.

If you want to contact your legislator regarding this proposal, click on the link below to find the contact information for your state Assembly Representative and Senator. We will keep you posted as this moves forward.
