The Key to Your Future: Understanding Transition for School Aged Youth

You are invited to attend a FREE training seminar on the Postsecondary Transition Plan (PTP). The training is designed for high school students (ages 14–21) and parents. Interested educators and professionals may also attend.

The training will focus on the new Postsecondary Transition Plan (PTP) system put in place by the WI Department of Public Instruction. Districts are using this required interactive tool during the IEP team meeting to develop the transition plan for youth. Parents and youth will gain a more in-depth knowledge of this process so they can become an active participant in this transition planning. Trainers will take you through this interactive program during the training session. We will be providing the same training in four locations (two other locations to be announced later) around the area:

Tues. September 10 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Brookfield Public Library, 1900 Calhoun Road, Brookfield, WI

Thurs. September 19 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st Street, Franklin, WI

Tues. September 17 6:00pm to 8:00pm

West Allis School District, 1205 S. 70th Street, Milwaukee, WI

Weds. September 25 6:30pm to 8:30pm
