This Thursday! - Stop Insurance Company Discrimination

I’m Justin Bielinski, health care organizer with Citizen Action of Wisconsin. I know it’s rather short notice, but I’m writing to invite you to an action this Thursday afternoon in Milwaukee to protect health care for all Wisconsinites.

The Republican plan to repeal Obamacare, currently making its way through the U.S. Senate, would cause 23 million Americans to lose their health coverage, decimate Badgercare in Wisconsin, and according to some analysts even lead to the end of individual health plan markets in several states, making it impossible to get health insurance at any cost.

Recently, State Representative Daniel Riemer (D-Milwaukee) and democratic colleagues in the Assembly put forth a package of bills to protect Wisconsin residents from these changes, including preserving protections for pre-existing conditions. We’d love for you to join us this Thursday, June 1st at 2:50pm outside of the Assurant building at 501 W Michigan St. as Rep. Riemer introduces his bills, and we hear personal stories from citizens who stand to be hurt most if Republican attacks on healthcare move forward. Immediately after the event, we’ll head over to Ron Johnson’s office to pressure him to support pre-existing condition protections for all Americans!

For more information, and to RSVP, please visit the event page HERE. I hope to see you there!
