The following is an outline for a series of tasks that several interns could tackle and compile into one comprehensive spreadsheet for Sweet Water

  • research top 50 universities in the nation

ie: http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities

  • do a google search for each of the following

“university name + ecologocical”
“university name + sustainable”
“university name + green”
etc

examples of results are below (within 5 min of searches)

http://www.green.harvard.edu/
http://ecologicalurbanism.gsd.harvard.edu/
http://sustainability.yale.edu/
http://www.eeb.yale.edu/
http://sustainability.mit.edu/
http://sustainability.duke.edu/
http://www.cornell.edu/sustainability/
http://www.uic.edu/sustainability/
http://www4.uwm.edu/pps/Sustainability/
http://www.marquette.edu/sustainability/
http://www.environment.columbia.edu/
http://www.earth.columbia.edu/sections/view/9
http://www.columbia.edu/cu/e3b/
http://ecocomplex.rutgers.edu/index.php
http://foodinnovationcenter.rutgers.edu/

  • probe further to determine which schools also have (organic) farms or aquaponics

ie
http://sites.duke.edu/farm/
http://www.yale.edu/sustainablefood/farm.html

  • compile a list of contacts for each office of sustainability

  • contact each office inquiring about possibility of Sweet Water offering guest lecture

ie http://www.yale.edu/sustainablefood/calendar.html
http://www.hks.harvard.edu/centers/mrcbg/programs/sustsci/events/seminars/frontiers-in-sustainable-development-speaker-series

typically these groups pay for speakers and/or workshops

Sweet Water speaker + workshop team would include
Godsil, Emmanuel, Jesse, Jill, and/or key SW agents of change (ie nick, chaya, jason, interns, etc)
