I am starting with Tom for a number of reasons. Most important is the fact that I have been impressed with Tom’s competence, creativity, modesty, and work ethic for over 20 years in his capacity as Sales Manager at Christensen Roofing during the 1980s and 1990s. Tom and I have successfully handled the kind of extremely complex challenges the roofing industry presents for over two decades. I cannot remember one instance when Tom disappointed me, my crews, my clients, his clients, anyone.

Don McNamara, president of Christensen Roofing, introduced me to Tom abou 20 years ago. McNamara chose my company, Community Roofing, as the residential roofers he would send referals to. I was able to learn quite a lot about Tom’s handling the role of point man between Christensen clients, their sales force, and their roofers. I was quite impressed.

When Tom teamed up with Pioneer Roofing a few years back, I continued our relationship by referring commercial projects to Tom, including Lee Barczak of the Avalon Theatre fame.

Green Roofing requires a roof design/contract “point person” of the highest order. The costs of a flat roof that springs leaks or is improperly designed are spectacular to imagine. It is with a full knowledge of the risks involved that I stake my hard won reputation on the competence and integrity of Tom Halat, the son of Riverwest most competently advancing the cause of Gree Roofing in Wisconsin and the Great Lakes.
