Wiki web power is to the global economy of today’s information societies
What planting seeds and harvesting their flowers was to our distant kin
Who elevated life by harnessing and harvesting some of nature’s boon.
It would be my great honor to begin developing classes on Wiki Empowerment
For the Veterans at the Soldiers Home library,
Starting when the first student is ready,
At a time that’s good for all.
And for the civilians too!
Our veterans and our civilians have partnered
To get us right to where we are today.
Much accomplished. Much unfinished business.
Why not plant a seed when you learn about earth and fertility?
Why not use a bow and arrow to broaden our hunting reach?
Why tolerate depressing public meetings
Where most of the time is wasted
Because people don’t have enough information
To make granulated and nuanced decisions.
We can’t afford crude public decision-making processes!
The stakes are too high!
Wiki web software is as easy to use as e-mailing.
We will be able to store, for everyone to see,
The major facts at hand, for the great cause
Of Saving the Soldiers Home.
Rather than witness wasted energies for lack of information
In the emerging Soldiers Home Movement,
Let’s empower the veterans!
Let’s empower the civilians!
Let’s empower our community to Save the Soldiers Home,
With the most powerful information exchange technologies around,
That would give voice to all of God’s children,
That would make it hard for blowhards and elites to control information flows,
Where a Grand Alliance, of all streams of Americans,
“All of God’s children,”
Our community from Toronto to Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, and Chicago,
Down to Cincy, Indianapolis, and St. Louis,
And all the cities, towns, and country in between,
On over the Kansas City, clear up to Demoins, then Minneapolis,
On up to Deluth, where I’m told Bob Dylan was born,
Around the “tops” of the Great Lakes,
On over to the Canadian side.
And open to the wider world!
