Join us to discuss why the ERA is needed and what you can do to ensure equality.
What inequalities confront women without this amendment to the Constitution? We will explore this and other questions about the ERA at this public issues forum presented by the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County.
Professor Lisa Mazzie of the Marquette University School of Law will speak on the need for the ERA and what protections are lost without the amendment.
Michele Thorne, LWV-Wilmette, will update us on the status of the ERA ratification, how we can take action, and the status of the amendment in other states. She will also discuss what challenges stand in the way when the amendment is ratified.
