Fifteen powerful women from Wisconsin were among the 90 leaders who gathered in Baltimore in September for the 25th Annual N’tosake Leadership Training.

N’tosake, which means “she who walks with lions”, is a movement within the Gamaliel Network that is dedicated to building a community of challenge and solidarity, focused on developing strong women leaders.

The training last week had Beginner, Intermediate and Advances tracks, and WISDOM had women in all three categories. Women from MICAH, RIC, MOSES, JONAH, NAOMI and EXPO were part of the week. They were also joined by a staff member from the Wisconsin Partnership Project, which has been a steadfast funding ally of WISDOM in recent years.

Sarah Ferber said of this year’s N’tosake, “I was most impressed that EVERYONE, from the newest person to those who have been with N’tosake for 25 years, got something out of it. And, everyone had something unique to add to the experience for everyone else.”

The women who participated this year are looking to organize some opportunities locally for women involved in WISDOM to come together for training and support. Women who have participated in N’tosake over the years are asked to take a minute to fill out this simple survey:

If you have never been to N’tosake but are interested in learning more for the future, contact Sarah Ferber, [email protected]?, or just let any WISDOM organizer know you are interested.
