My daughter Megan and I are hoping to team up this winter to experiment with very focused delivery of Lula’s East African cuisine to target populations on the Eastside and Riverwest. We plan to start with teachers and professors at UWM, Riverside and Shorewood H.S., Hartford, Fratney, Pierce, St. Robert’s, Maryland, and Catholic East Grade Schools.

Here is a letter I am going to post this morning, December 1, 2004:

Dear All,

My daughter Megan and I are experimenting with Lula’s East African Cafe on a lunch special free delivery project for schools on the Eastside and Riverwest.

Chicken Sukhaar Lunch Special, $5.95

  • seasoned basmanti rice—cumen, cinemmon, cilantro, and cardmon

  • chicken breast bite size—curry and cumen seasoning

  • sauteed onions and green pepper

If you know any teachers at UWM, Riverside and Shorewood High Schools, or Hartford, Fratney, St. Robert’s, Maryland, and Catholic East Grade Schools, please ask them to call me at 232 1336 or e-mail me at [email protected]

During this experiment we are not going to charge Lula but hope that tips will cover our wages. If the project is successful, there is a chance this experiment can generate a part time job for someone and some great lunches for people working near Lula’s East African Cafe.

What say?

Clear sailing,

Godsil
