April 17th Madison Public Transportation Day Agenda

Public Transportation advocates and supporters are welcome and encouraged to attend. There is no registration fee for individuals. Cost for lunch will be $8.00 per person (includes sandwich, beverage and dessert). Payment should be made at the event and receipts will be provided. Checks should be made out to WURTA.

Parking at the Hyatt is available in a ramp attached to the hotel. We have arranged for a $5 fee parking fee for the day (self-park).

  • 10:00 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. Message for the Day and Issue Briefings Invited Guest Speakers
Sandwiches will be served - $8.00 per person (includes sandwich, beverage and dessert, receipts available)

  • 1:15 p.m. Leave for the Capitol

  • 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Press Conference State Capitol, Room 400 S.E.

  • 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Briefing for Freshmen Legislators and Legislative Staff State Capitol, Room 400 S.E. What is Public Transportation? (Select Presentations Only)

  • 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Legislative Office Visits (to be scheduled in advance)
The Assembly will be in session starting at 1:00 p.m. and representatives will be unavailable until about 2:15 p.m. If you are bringing constituents to participate in the days activities and office visits, please inform legislators in advance.

  • 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Wrap Up Session - Signature Lounge, Best Western, Inn on the Park (Across the street from the Capitol)
