June 9th Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force Meeting

The agenda will include time for a Listening Session on 2016 BHD budget priorities. Several Mental Health Board Members will be in attendance to listen

We hope to see you at the June meeting of the Milwaukee Mental Health Task Force Tuesday, June 9th from 3 5:30 PM at IndependenceFirst, 540 S. 1st street.

We have a very informative agenda that you wont want to miss as well as a special opportunity to share your priorities with some members of the Milwaukee County Mental Health Board. The agenda will include the following:

• Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 25th Anniversary Activities - update from Lee Schulz, President & CEO, IndependenceFirst

• Planning for 2015 Karen Avery Award, including a fall program celebrating the ADA Anniversary

• Behavioral Health Division Update including 2016 Budget Initiatives Amy Lorenz, Deputy, Community Access to Recovery Services, Director of Crisis Services

• CCS update from Recovery Advisory Committee, Mark Flower & Tamara Wess

• Listening Session on 2016 Milwaukee County Budget

At approximately 4 PM, we will transition to a listening session regarding priorities for mental health services in Milwaukee County. Several Mental Health Board members will be in attendance at the meeting and are interested in hearing from members of the public about priorities for the Mental Health Board, especially priorities for the 2016 Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division Budget. Members of the public are encouraged to speak you will have an opportunity to register to speak and have up to three minutes. Our thanks to Mary Neubauer, Brenda Wesley, Lyn Malofsky, and any other Mental Health Board members who are attending the meeting to listen.
